Georgios Sotiropoulos of Greece Wins LAPT#9 at Bahamas

Georgios SotiropoulosGeorgios Sotiropoulos wins Latin American Poker Tour season 9 Main Event. This was a $2,200 buy in main event to which Sotiropoulos of Greece did great and took down the first prize of $308,220 and a trophy. He is the first ever LAPT champion belongs to Greece. Sotiropoulos has done really well in the past. He has won many titles including World Series of poker Europe (WSOPE). He was a runner up at EPT Prague main event for season#10.

The total number of entries to this prestigious main event was 851 among which 10 players remained in the play for second and third day but Georgios Sotiropoulos, made the difference and became the champion of the game. Andre Akkari of team pokerstars was participating to the event but got busted at 10th position.

Georgios Sotiropolous of Greece topped the field size and won a very good cash amount of $308,220. The runner up of the event was Taylor Von Kriegenbergh of United States who won $187,220, playing at the event. The third place of the event belongs to a German player named Knut Karnapp who took home $132,080.

Joe Kuether, another US poker pro was booked for fourth place at the LAPT#9 main event and collected $99,060. Will Molson of Canada got his winning share amount of $78,080 and was at sixth position. 6th position of the LAPT season 9 main event is for another US player named Chad Eveslage who got $58,440 Of cash amount, whereas the 7th and 8th places goes to Darren Elias of US and Ismael Bojang of Austria. They collected $41,100 and $28,900 respectively.
