Georgios Sotiropoulos wins Latin American Poker Tour season 9 Main Event. This was a $2,200 buy in main event to which Sotiropoulos of Greece did great and took down the first prize of $308,220 and a trophy. He is the first ever LAPT champion belongs to Greece. Sotiropoulos has done really well in the past. He has won many titles including World Series of poker Europe (WSOPE). He was a runner up at EPT Prague main event for season#10.
The total number of entries to this prestigious main event was 851 among which 10 players remained in the play for second and third day but Georgios Sotiropoulos, made the difference and became the champion of the game. Andre Akkari of team pokerstars was participating to the event but got busted at 10th position.

The runner up of the event was Taylor Von Kriegenbergh of United States who won $187,220, playing at the event.
