Amaya and PokerStars Sorted Out Tax Disputes in Italy

Amaya IncAmaya Inc has sorted out the year long Tax Dispute between PokerSatrs and Italy’s tax authorities. The dispute was for the operation of Pokerstars in the country in between 2009 to 2014. According to the reports Amaya Inc is ready to pay €5.9 million to the Italian Tax regulators. According to the statements Amaya has made a “final settlement of the matter” which includes all amounts owing to the Italian regulators.

Previously the gambling regulators of Italy had claimed an amount of €85 million of tax charges at the leading poker brand i.e. PokerStars, which is a subsidiary of Amaya International.

Pokerstars is one of the biggest poker portals in the world and is currently holding a license to operate in Italy by the gambling authority of Italy and it is the fifth largest brand operating in this European country. Hundreds and thousands of online poker are joining PokerStars from Italy every month and that why the dispute took place in nature.

This is a remarkable achievement by the Amaya Inc after sorting out their big tax settlement of $318 million to Apple.
