A student and part time poker player Ottawa, Canada Kristen Bicknell, has won the $1,500 buy in No limit Hold’em Bounty event at World Series of poker 2016. She is the first female to win a gold bracelet in WSOP 2016, after 46 events. It was the event#46 of the series, to which Bicknell did well and topped a field size of 2,158 entrants.
The cash prize pool for the event, generated by all the entrants was $1,834,300. Top 324 finishers of the game took home some prize money. This was the second gold bracelet for the Canadian poker pro. The first was back in 2013, where she won Ladies world poker championship.
Total WSOP cashes for the player is now 3, out of which she won 2 bracelets, where all time money for the player, playing at different poker festivals is $467,055. The 29 year old player is a health conscious and loves to play poker as well. The runner up of the game was Norbert Szecsi of Hungary, who took home $179,625.
In an interview, after this win she said that “it all feels so real”, but almost doesn’t feel true. It is a dream that you always had. She also said that “I was a bit surprised how many people busted out on Day One of the tournament because of Bounty.
The player played outstandingly well till fourth days and three nights of the game at Rio, in Vegas and ultimately take away the first prize of amount $290,768, with a gold bracelet. The final table of the game included some of the top poker pros such as Norbert Szezsi and Steve Gee (previous gold winners). She was very happy indeed because of this special win against such a great field size.

Norbert Szecsi, A player from Budapest, Hungary was the runner up and collected $179,625. Austrian John Myung finished third for $130,588.
Ryan Leng, fourth for $95,857, Will Failla was at fifth for $71,049, and a Frenchman Sebastian Comel was at sixth place for $53,181.
Steve Gee completed seventh for $40,203, Fadi Hamad got busted to eighth place for $30,697 and Jason Singleton (San Diego, CA) collects $23,678.
