World poker tour returns to the United Kingdom with for UK Festival of Poker. The tournament will be kicked off on Oct. 22, 2016 at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham, England.
The tournament is ready attract hundreds of players because it features three major events and that each offer a £1 million guarantee, while total prize money to be awarded is about £3 million. WPT is hosting this UK festival of poker in association with partypoker.
The first event of this prestigious poker tournament would be a £550 buy-in WPT500 event, which will feature 12 starting flights, out of which 5 will take place at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham and the rest of the 7 starting flights, would be held at various casino places across the United Kingdom.
Here a player can register only once for a starting flight, but they can play as many as they want on the Day 2 of the starting flight.
This £550 buy-in WPT500 event will be a £1 million guaranteed prize pool event and top 50 places f the event will get automatic entry to the Main event of this prestigious WPT UK poker festival. The buy in for the Main event by the way is £2,200.
The main event of the buy in £2,200 will take place from November 2, 2016 and that would also be a £1 million guarantee event, to which players will be permitted to register only once per day.
Last Year’s world poker tour and partypoker UK Festival of poker tournament attracted 450 players from across the UK and from Europe, and the winner of the tournament was Iaron Lightbourne, who pocketed £200,000 as the first prize by defeating another pro poker player from the UK Craig McCorkell.
