Luis Rodriguez Cruz wins World Poker Tour UK Main Event for £200,000

The tournament ended in a great way. It received 522 entries from different parts of the United Kingdom and from Europe.

The top prize for the event was £200,000, which now belongs to Luis Rodriguez Cruz, while Christopher Yong became the runner up and made £135,000 from the tournament.

Rodriguez Cruz did not just took home the title and the first prize, but he also got a free seat to prestigious $15,000 WPT Tournament of Champions and that means he would play with all star players.

The five day long tournament ended on Sunday when most of the players were eliminated, whereas the final table of this particular UK Poker main event included like Alex Lindop, a plaer who has done well in past, Seamus Cahill, Maxime Swennen, Christopher Yong, Nabil Cardoso and Luis Rodriguez Cruz.


It did not take so much time to decide the heads up players, because soon after the final table began the first one to go was Alex Lindop, who made £40,000 and was booked at sixth place.

Seamus Cahill was the next player hit the rail for £50,000 to fifth position. He was doing well but fell short.

Then after Cahill got out another player named Maxime Swennen eliminated to fourth place. He was out from the race of the championship for £67,080.

Nabil Cardoso took home a good total of amount £90,000 as winning share for his third place.

The heads up began after four players eliminated from the final table. Christopher Yong was leading the chip count to 2-1, but that didn’t last long against Cruz.

They did fight well but at the end it was Luis Rodriguez Cruz, who ended being champion of the UK Poker Main event for £200,000, while Christopher Yong became runner up for £135,000.
