Rodrigo Strong, A pro poker player from Brazil has won the prestigious Latin America Poker tour season 9, being held at Chile from March 4 to march 8, 2016. The winner collected $120,565 as winning prize, whereas the runner up of the event was Chilean Fabian Chauriye, who made $ 110,000 being at second position. Chauriye finished 6th in LAPT8 Main event Chile. The $1,500 Buy in LAPT9 Main Event received 565 entries and generated prize pool of $737,325.
A handful of players joined the main event on Day 2 and day 3, but it was Strong who buried them like anything. He was the one who crossed 1,000,000 chip counts first on Day 3.
The Carlos Pohmajevic of Argentina hit the rail and finished his journey to 8th place for an amount took home $15,780. The Day 2 chips leader Ricardo Malamala sent Pohmajevic to 8th position. Andres Espinoza of Argentina was at 7th place and got $ 22,780 and it was Richard Dubini’s who sent Espinoza to the 7th place.
Right After the removal of Espinoza, another Chilean player Ricardo Matamala took the rail for $ 30,520 and he finished at 6th place.
The fifth handed game included Roberly Felicio of Brazil who was at fifth place for $ 38,860 and Richard Dubini of Argentina and a PokerStars Player added an amount $ 49,540 to his main account and finished at fourth. The third position of the Latin America Poker tour for season 9 belongs to Alex Vega of Chile and he takes $ 63,560 as winning share.
The heads up round was in between Rodrigo Strong and Fabian Chauriye, to which Strong made no mistake and won the prestigious title for amount $ 120,565.Strong, was very happy and said “It really feels great when you win tournament like these.
