The 15th edition of GPI European poker awards will take place on May 3 at Monte Carlo bay Hotel & Resort. The nominees for this award are being announced by using 62 media members opinion.
This is one of the most prestigious awards for personals entitled with poker games which include media personals, industry person of the year, and breakout person of the year, tournament performance, and event of the year in many categories like below €2,000 buy in or more €2,000 buy in.
As per the norms, game structure and determination two nominees have already won the awards in their category. The one is for GPL Player of the 2015, which goes to a German professional poker player, Fedor Holz who dominated the year 2015 by his playing.
Whereas the Global Poker Index Female player of the year belongs to Liv Boeree of United Kingdom and PokerStars Team Pro.
Nominations for different categories are:-
Media Person of the Year: – (Frank Op de Woerd, Lee Davy, Neil Stoddart and Remko Rinkema)
Industry personal of the year includes Rob Young, Thomas lamstsch, Luca Vivaldi and Edgar Stuchly.
BearkOut player of the year has Rainer Kempe, fedor Holz, Charlie carrel and Dzmitry Urbanovich
Tournament personal of the year has four nominations as well and they are like Adrian Mateon for his winning at 2015 European Poker Tour’s Grand Final Main Event, Fedor Holz for winning WPT Alpha8 ,Mustapha kanit for winning EPT Barcelona for $10K High Roller
The event of the year for buy in up to €2,000 got four entries and the nominees are Estrellas Poker Tour, Norwegian Championship for poker and WPT500 at Dusk Till Dawn and PokerListings of battle of Malta
The next category of this GPI award is for Event of the year for buy in more than €2,000 and the nominees are EPT Barcelona main event, EPT Grand Final, EPT Prague and WSOP Europe final table Main event.
